Usage and precautions

I. How to use/install

Connect the reader:
Connect the RS60C reader directly to the computer using the USB interface.
After connection, the reader will enter the self-test state, and the LED light will turn blue, e hōʻike ana i keʻano o keʻano hana.
Start the output software:
Open the software you want to receive data, e like me notepad, Word document, or Excel table.
Position the cursor:
In the open Notepad, Word document, or Excel table, use the mouse to click to position the cursor.
Read the tag:
Place the RFID tag on the reader, and the software will automatically output the tag’s data (ʻO ka maʻamau ka helu kāleka).
When the tag is read, the LED light will change from blue to green.

Check whether the device is connected:

Open the computer’s device manager and check whetherHuman Input Deviceor similar entries appear, which means that the reader has been successfully inserted into the computer.

II. Precations

Avoid interference:
Do not install the reader near magnetic objects or metal objects, as they will seriously affect the transmission of RFID signals.
Tag sensing:
If the tag remains in the reader’s sensing area after reading, the reader will not send data again without any prompt.

3. Common Problems

No feedback from operation:
Please check whether the USB interface is plugged in, whether the tag is valid, and whether there is another RFID tag interfering in the reading range.
Data error:
Please make sure that the mouse is not moving, as this may affect the reception of data.
Check whether the reader is in a critical state, or try to use a shorter USB cable to reduce possible interference.
